The Hawker Sea Fury is a British fighter aircraft that holds a significant place in aviation history. Developed by Hawker Aircraft during the latter stages of World War II, the Sea Fury was designed as a carrier-based fighter for the Royal Navy. It was one of the fastest piston-engine aircraft ever built.
The Sea Fury's development began as an improvement over the Hawker Tempest, with the aim of creating a better performing, lighter and more versatile aircraft. It was powered by the Bristol Centaurus engine, a robust and reliable powerplant that contributed to its impressive speed and climb rate. The Sea Fury's sleek design, featuring a low-drag fuselage and elliptical wings, further enhanced its aerodynamic efficiency.
In addition to its combat prowess, the Sea Fury was also known for its versatility. It could be equipped with a variety of armaments, including rockets, bombs, and cannons, making it suitable for a range of missions from ground attack to air superiority. The aircraft's robust construction and reliable performance made it a favourite among pilots.
The Hawker Sea Fury remains an iconic aircraft, celebrated for its speed, agility, and combat effectiveness. Its legacy endures as a symbol of British engineering excellence and a testament to the ingenuity of its designers.

One of the leading 3D designers of this kit, Kostyantyn Kolobov, was unfortunately killed defending Ukraine against the Russian invader.
Kostya left behind his wife Oksana and a young son, Mykola. May he rest in peace
The Sea Fury kit was his very latest work, he literally left for the army two days after finalising the Sea Fury. He also created other absolutely outstanding 3D models for other Ukrainian companies such as the Ju388 planned by Mikro Mir.
That kit too will be released in his honour and will be his legacy to the modellers society !!
Life goes on, even a modelers one, but when you purchase this kit, or the Ju388 for that put it in perspective when you find an error
