In the late fifties the veteran 60lb RP-3 rocket was modified for use with jets swept wing aircraft. It was distinguishable from earlier version by the use of a zero-length rack, cut fins and a slug fit when carrying a 2,3 or 4 tier arrangement. These were commonly used by RAF Hawker Hunters, more noticeably those based at RAF Khormaksar in Aden during the so called Aden Emergency.
