The important difference between polyurethane varnish and acrylic varnish is the greater strength and resistance of polyurethane varnish against scratches and damage, making it ideal for surfaces exposed to wear. The paint is manufactured with a new resin of 100% polyurethane that self-levels and offers stronger protection than acrylic varnish. The polyurethane varnish can be applied to Model Color, Model Air and all other acrylic paints, but make sure the paint is completely dry. Polyurethane varnish dries faster than acrylic paint, forming a hermetically closed surface. If the base color is not completely dry, moisture can be trapped under the paint and cause problems. It is important that the varnish is not shaken, as it can take several hours for the bubbles to disappear again. Mixing is done by gently stirring the varnish. This varnish can simply be thinned with Vallejo Airbrush thinner and be cleaned off with water and soap. Varnish applied with a brush should dry for about 4 hours, but varnish airbrushed in fine layers dries in 10-15 minutes
