Product description
his kit consists of two 3D printed resin parts in very high resolution and an A6 instruction page for a pair of « GBU-16 ».
- GBU-16s are laser guided bombs 1000lb class (500kg).
- Used on : Mirage 2000D, N, Rafale B/C/M, F-4, F-14, F-15, F-16, F/A-18, Tornado and others…
Able to strike static or moving targets in good weather conditions. The bomb is guided to the designated target by a laser, "illuminated" by the plane dropping the bomb, or another plane, or even by troops on the ground.
The Rafale may be equiped by following laser designator pods :
- "Damoclès" Pod - (Available : Syhart A010)
- "Talios" (PDL NG) Pod - (Available : Syhart A011)
- "Sniper" AN/AAQ-33 Pod (export uniquement) - (available soon)
The Rafale (all versions) carry two GBU-16, installed under the PU 708 main pylons (available : Syhart A016) or up four GBU-16, installed under the AT730 triple pylons (available : Syhart A003)
They have no printing irregularities, the fins are thin but strong. The parts are protected in a «cage» allowing transport and storage without breakage, including fins.
