This flying apparatus can undoubtedly be assigned to the postwar "uniques" operated by the Czechoslovak Air Force. It is well known that two specimens of the twin-rotor helicopter flew in Czechoslovakia, so strictly speaking was not literally unique, but the Air Force operated until the end of 1950 only one.
On 14.10.1923 founded in Bremen Heinrich Focke, Georg Wulf and Werner Neumann company Bremer Flugzeugbau AG, shortly after the establishment renamed Focke-Wulf Flugzeugbau AG. In the 1930s, the company gradually reoriented to a purely military program, of which the greatest fame reached fighter Fw 190, naval reconnaissance Fw 200 and reconnaissance Fw 189. During the war, the company became one of the most important German aerospace manufacturers, in 1944 30 000 people worked there. After the war, it existed until 1964, when it merged with Weser Flugzeugbau Gmbh into the company Vereinigde Flugtechnische Werke and after further mergers it became one of the predecessors of the current Airbus. The publication deals with the development of Fa 223 and its tests in postwar Czechoslovakia.
The publication is A4, full color on high quality glossy paper, V2 binding, 52 pages, a lot of photos of very interesting historical black-and-white photos, colorful side-views and technical cockpit drawing.
